General FAQs

Is InnoFlue® approved for use in the United States?

InnoFlue is approved for use in the United States. InnoFlue is the only polymeric (plastic) vent system listed to UL-1738. UL-1738 is the standard for venting category II, III & IV appliances.

The Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) and International Code Council (ICC) requires that all vent systems be listed. For plastic venting, the UMC approved safety standard is UL-1738.

All codes require that vent systems be tested and approved by the appliance manufacturer on an appliance by appliance basis. Contact Centrotherm Eco Systems, visit our appliance manufacturer approval page, review the venting section of the appliance installation mannual or contact your appliance manufacturer directly to determine if InnoFlue is approved for use.

In addition, Centrotherm provides technical support including system sizing, development of custom parts and OEM support. InnoFlue's® polypropylene technology provides several technical advantages over existing polymeric vent materials including increased temperature ratings, enhanced corrosion resistance, environmental benefits, innovative design and a 10-year limited warranty.
