Manufacturing Capabilities
Extrusion (Rigid & Flexible)
The Ubbink-Centrotherm Group operates high and low speed rigid and flexible extrusion lines on 2 continents. Specializing in rigid and flexible pipe production, UCG has the capability to produce from one inch diameter to over twelve inch diameter pipe / tube. The UCG utilizes gravimetric loading and ultrasonic wall measuring systems to ensure quality in every part. The UCG also maintains inline socket production up to twelve inc diameters.
Injection Molding
The Ubbink-Centrotherm Group operates over 20 injection molding machines between 100 and 500 tons. 2k molding capability is available on several machines across our size range. All machines include linear robots for automated part unloading and can include cell based co-bots for automated assembly and or packaging.
UCG has experience injection molding a wide variety of polymers, with world class expertize designing tools for polypropylene and polyethylene components. Adding to our internal capabilities, our strong supply chain management team maintains a vendor network with capabilities over 3,000 tons.
Thermal Forming
The Ubbink-Centrotherm Group operates multiple automatic sheet and roll fed thermal forming machines. Thermal forming is the ideal solution for low volume custom parts with thin walls and complex shapes. Our machines are capable of processing sheet up to 88.5” (2,250mm) x 47.2” (1,200mm) x .47” (12mm) with a maximum part size of 86.6” (2200mm) x 47.2” (1200mm) x 27.5” (700mm.)
We can process up to 6 identical or unique parts in a single cycle to minimize cost and scrap and UCG can utilize specialized tooling or CNC capabilities to provide a precise net trimmed part.
EPE Fabrication
The Ubbink-Centrotherm Group operates multiple automated EPE fabrication cells. These cells are capable of manufacturing a variety of fabricated EPE tube products including elbows and tees. EPE products improve sound and thermal insulation of appliances and systems.
