You should only send a driver after receiving confirmation that the order is ready for pickup. An order acknowledgment or order entry confirmation does not guarantee that the order has been picked, staged, or prepared for pickup.

Before the driver arrives, make sure they have the following information:

  • 3PL warehouse name and address
  • Customer or company name
  • PO/Sales Order Number
  • Pickup reference number, if applicable
  • Any specific pickup instructions provided by Customer Service

All pickups should occur during the 3PLs designated pickup hours. If an after-hours pickup or special arrangement is required, contact Centrotherm Customer Service in advance and ensure the request has been confirmed before sending the driver.

Allow sufficient time for the 3PL to locate, stage, and load the order. Loading times may vary depending on the order size, warehouse volume, and equipment availability. Drivers should not expect their orders to be loaded immediately upon arrival.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the pickup vehicle can safely accommodate the shipment's size and weight. Any special vehicle requirements or loading needs should be communicated with Centrotherm Customer Service when arranging the pickup.

Before leaving the facility, the driver should verify:

  • The PO/Sales Order Number
  • The number of pallets or cartons
  • The general condition of the shipment
  • Any visible damage

If there are discrepancies or visible damage, the driver should report them to the 3PL and Centrotherm Customer Service before leaving the facility.

Any discrepancies or visible damage should be reported to the 3PL and Centrotherm Customer Service before the driver leaves the facility. The shipment should be inspected, and the issue should be documented and communicated promptly so it can be addressed.

Notify Customer Service as soon as possible if a pickup needs to be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled. Providing advance notice helps prevent unnecessary handling, re-staging, additional trips, and delays.

Before dispatching a driver, confirm that:

  • The order is ready for pickup.
  • The pickup date has been confirmed.
  • The driver has the correct PO/order number (Sales Order Number).
  • The driver has the correct 3PL location and pickup instructions.
  • The vehicle is appropriate for the shipment.
  • Any special loading requirements have been communicated.

Contact Customer Service before sending a driver to the 3PL location if you have questions, need to confirm pickup readiness, or need to make changes to the pickup. Communicating in advance helps prevent unnecessary trips, delays, and pickup issues.
